This is a photo of the sky over Rock Hill, SC on 11/26/18.
How would you describe this scene?  What do you see?  What colors?  What patterns?
How do you think it feels outside?  What do you think the weather is like?
What thoughts or ideas come to mind with this scene?
This video was taken on 11/10/2018 at Myrtle Beach.

Our oceans are becoming polluted.   Pollution harms the environment of the animals that live in the ocean.
These are some examples.  How do these photos make you feel?
How can we stop polluting our oceans?  How can we clean up our oceans?

Write Letter-Guided Poetry
First, list the letters of a word down the page.
Then for each letter, write a word or phrase that starts with that letter.
Please see the examples below.
S E A S O N S
        by Jordyn Sims, age 7
Summer, spring, winter, fall.
Each and every season is perfect.
And they are all beautiful.
Seasons are times of the year.
Onto the beach we go
Nice weather.
Sunshine glows in spring and summer.

S E A S O N S
        by Madison Glover, age 8
Summer, fall, winter, spring
Evenly spread throughout the year.
Always lovely
Sweet days!
On break from school, sometimes
Nice sunny days
Surprises all year long.
Write Nature Haiku
Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry.
Haiku poems are very short, but tend to be very descriptive of a special moment in time.

Generally, haiku has three lines.
The first line is written with five syllables.
The second line has seven syllables, and the third and final line has five syllables.

These photos were taken at King's Mountain State Park (SC) on January 2, 2019.
Leaves fall to the ground
Piles and layers continue to form
rain - decay - time - change

A chill without snow.
Animals forage for food.
Winter is dreary.
